Workshops

What are these workshops?

They are a series of gender sensitisation workshops that aim to educate adults who did not grow up with the resources about the nuances of gender, sexuality and pronouns. With a whirlwind of new terms that can get overwhelming, Rhea breaks them down into something digestible and easy to understand.

What is the mission?

Rhea’s mission is to create a more inclusive and accepting society by educating not only the younger generation but also older members of the community. She believes that older adults, as pillars of society, play a crucial role in fostering a caring and supportive environment for the younger generation.

Her goal is to ensure that local community children who are discovering their identities or coming out have a safe and understanding space. By raising awareness and promoting acceptance among adults, Rhea aims to protect the queer community from the trauma of family rejection and to initiate a ripple effect of compassion and inclusivity.

Why choose this?

Rhea chose this approach to ensure a comprehensive support system by launching her book alongside the workshops, providing participants with all the necessary resources. Her primary goal is to create an open and honest environment where individuals feel safe and comfortable asking questions and expressing themselves.

By addressing the fear of judgment, she aims to create a space where everyone can engage in meaningful dialogue and learn without hesitation. This approach is designed to promote lasting understanding and acceptance within the community, empowering both individuals and families.
